ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are looking for fun and energetic instructors to lead in-class entrepreneurship experiences for students in elementary, middle, and high school. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking for a flexible work schedule. Strong presentation skills and ability to quickly build rapport with students strongly recommended.
The Instructor’s role will include:
- Leading students in high energy and interactive in-class sessions for elementary, middle and/or high school students on topics such as entrepreneurship, team building, pitching, etc. (Schedule will fluctuate with our program calendar)
- Coordinating logistics for session prep, including confirming school readiness, preparing materials, and other tasks as assigned
- Continually identifying areas for improvement in curriculum content and delivery
- Supporting staff members in planning and implementation of several key programmatic events
- Attending quarterly instructor meetings
- Tracking and evaluating program quality through providing, collecting and recording student surveys
- Providing weekly updates to staff on student progress and session status

Type of Employment: Part-Time Position (10-20 hours per week)

- Strong classroom management skills.

- Experience working directly with elementary, middle, and high school students.

- Possess strong oral presentation skills.
- Possess strong problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have the experience, professional credibility and personal attributes necessary to forge productive relationships with people inside and outside the organization.
- Ability to work well in teams and independently.
- Extremely detail-oriented.
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance.
- Desire to have fun while making a difference in the lives of youth.
Applications for the 2016-17 program year will be reviewed on a rolling basis. New instructors will begin work the next program cycle (approximately every 6-8 weeks).
